We often hear that success happens when preparation meets opportunity. For Chiamaka, this was not just a quote but a lived experience that transformed her journey. Like many professionals, she knew she had stories to tell, and value to share.
However, there is a big difference between having something to say and knowing how to say it with impact. In 2025, she made a conscious decision to take her writing seriously. She stopped waiting for the perfect moment and set a goal to upskill before the end of the third quarter, building the skills she would need when her big break finally arrived.
Chiamaka did not just dabble in writing. She immersed herself in it. Within a single month, she successfully completed three Bloomwit courses. This level of focus was driven by a deep motivation to refine her voice and master the art of business communication.
As she shared in her recent New Year post, “new opportunities emerge in every new year. But wait, it doesn’t have to begin in January.” For Chiamaka, however, the payoff was immediate. By January 2nd, While many were still easing into the new year, Chiamaka received an offer for a weekly writing opportunity, and she was ready to say yes with total confidence.
We sat down with Chiamaka to discuss her journey from struggling with writer’s block to landing a major writing opportunity just two days into the new year.
The Interview with Chiamaka Eghomie
Bloomwit: You mentioned taking writing more seriously in 2025. What was the specific moment or realization that prompted you to start that journey?
Chiamaka: I used to struggle with writer’s block and believed what I lacked was structure. Over time, the idea of writing made me cringe. Still, beneath the hesitation, I knew writing was it for me. I had to write.
Bloomwit: Your certificates show you completed three Bloomwit courses within a single month, including Building Strategic Simplicity in Writing and Business Storytelling. What was your main motivation for focusing so heavily on your writing skills during that specific month?
Chiamaka: I had a goal to learn and upskill in writing before the end of the third quarter of 2025. I often felt like something was missing after publishing my earlier write ups. The structure did not always feel right, and at times, I struggled to fully express what I wanted to say on paper.
Bloomwit: A major part of your growth involved learning Strategic Simplicity. How do you now combine technical data with that approach?
Chiamaka: Firstly, I identify the most important parts of the technical data my audience needs to be informed about. Afterwards, I present them as clear facts, relatable stories, or practical examples. This way, the information remains accurate, easy to understand, engaging, and memorable.
Bloomwit: You received an offer for a weekly writing opportunity on January 2nd. How has your training helped you feel prepared to take on that specific responsibility?
Chiamaka: After finishing the courses, I felt much more confident in my writing. I now craft my write ups with a clear strategy, keep things simple and straightforward using the KISS principle, understand my clients and their audience, and make sure every piece of content and every story sticks with readers.
